Split - Testing

What's the biggest obstacle to success in SFI? Most would agree that it's all about the lack of activity on the part of new affiliates. Indeed, if the "front-end" of SFI could be more efficient in creating engaged, active new affiliates, business and income would EXPLODE for all.
"Cracking this code" has proven elusive. I really should say "re-cracking," because, in years past, we've been able to engage a much higher percentage of new people. But the numbers have fallen off, despite our best efforts.
Why have they fallen off? That's the million dollar question. But I can tell you that, over our now-20-year history, the marketplace has shifted many, many times. What worked last month/last year no longer works this month/this year. Technology changes, governments change laws, behaviors change. What was once novel and exciting now no longer works...and visa versa, too! For example, email used to work wonderfully. Today, we're probably lucky if 5% receive and/or open the emails we send them.
So, what's the answer? The answer is that we have to start testing new approaches. Moreover, we have to start doing it more scientifically, instead of simply trying to interpret the numbers on our data reports.
That scientific approach is known as "Split" testing or "A/B" testing. Here's essentially how it works:
Let's say I've got a new product I want to sell. I create two different ads (an "A" ad and a "B" ad). Each is distinctively different from the other. I expose my two ads each to the same number of people. The ad that produces the most sales is considered the winner. The ad with the lesser results is discarded. I now might take the winning ad and create two variations of it.
For example, I might try two different headlines, or two different images, or different color schemes. From my NEW "A" and "B" I now determine again which produces the most sales...and I discard the other. I keep repeating this process until there's essentially no difference in results. At this point, I should have a solid, proven ad to generate optimal results from my advertising (well, at least for now, at least until the marketplace shifts).
See how that works? You've removed guessing, speculation, instinct, "gut feeling," etc...and you've replaced them with scientific testing and good ole math.
And that, my friends, is what we're going to put to work for us on the front-end. That is, effective immediately, we will begin A/B testing a variety of new landing pages/Smart Start approaches. And, actually, because we typically generate THOUSANDS of new sign-ups a day, we have the ability to do A/B/C or A/B/C/D or even A/B/C/D/E testing.
That is, because we have such a large sample size available, we can actually effectively test 3, 4, 5, or more distinctly-different front-ends at the same time, putting each of the different approaches in front of an equal number of randomly chosen sign-ups. It also means we can much more quickly determine what approach is the most effective.
WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU
It means, VERY CLEARLY, that you need to make sure you keep your welcomes and initial contact/training GENERIC...because, at this time at least, you're not going to know which approach your new sign-ups sees.
The good news is, a generic approach is always what I've recommended be used.
There's an old saying that people don't care what you say until they know you care. A very wise saying that is! It's also true that throwing lists of things to do, lots of links, etc. at new people is, more times than not, going to confuse and/or overwhelm them. And as a good friend has told me many times over the years, "A confused mind says no."
So keep it brief, keep it friendly, and don't get into any potentially-confusing specifics (no matter how harmless it may seem).
"HOW CAN I HELP YOU?"
All of your messages should revolve around helping and serving your new PSA. Make sure that this theme comes through loud and clear! Introduce yourself of course, but otherwise stick mainly to...
"Do you have any questions I can answer for you?"
and
"If there's anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask."
There will be plenty of time later to recommend LaunchPad, the To-Do List, or whatever. And, don't forget, in the welcome letter they'll get from SFI we'll let them know about how to get started. So don't even worry about that, just break the ice and make sure they know you're there to help them!
So...look over your welcomes/getting started materials and edit as needed. Then stay tuned as we embark on this very important test that, with any luck, will lay the foundation for a vastly more effective front-end within a few months.

Or Liability???
Can I say this about most of our Attitudes. It's much easier
to
have a great/good attitude when life is great/good. The time
a strong
positive attitude really counts is when things
are going badly. We can't always
choose what happens to
us, but one thing we can do is to determine how
we respond
to negative situations/happenings.
When we have a positive mental attitude, even when things go badly, that is the time that the people you lead in your Marketing Business find you the most appealing and attractive, the kind of person that they want as their leader.
So, with saying that, "Start/Finish Each Day With P>M>A

Stumble or Fumble Your Way to Diamond

There is no question that I am a hard worker. As a matter of fact, I could easily be considered a workaholic. I can't wait to get up everyday and hate to go to bed at night.
However, too much work can have it's consequences. My wife often tells me the easy way to do things, but I am sometimes so wound up that I don't listen. As a result, I either end up having to start over, or it will take me longer than usual to complete a task.
Although my wife is not involved in SFI, I am sure she would have told me to record my "keycode" on a spreadsheet before placing an ad. Again, I was so wound up that I probably placed the ad and quickly moved on to another task without recording my keycode.
Over the past few days I have been getting signups from key code "756" but I cannot remember where I placed the ads or where the sign ups are coming from. I am accustomed to getting sign-ups with keycode "0". Some of them are links I placed years ago.
I have purchased thousands of dollars in software marketing tools and don't know where half of them are. I just know they are either on my "C" drive or my external hard drive. I have placed ads everywhere you can mention without even studying the marketing method.
I have signed up thousands of affiliates without sending them a welcome message.
Although I have done many things wrong, I have somehow been able to earn a paycheck each month from SFI.
I have come to realize that humans are full of errors. But I have also come to realize that even errors cannot suppress effort.
Just keep pushing and after all the stumbling and fumbling around, you will find the real strength comes from getting back up. Your resolve will increase with your "will".
Find your "WHY". If your "WHY" is big enough, what happens to you along your journey means little. The only things that matters is if you can still see the finish line.
There are times that you see a SFI affiliate doing well and you wonder how. They have died over and over again to themselves, refusing to give in to themselves because "YOU" are the real cause for your lack of will to succeed.
To your success.

It was a typical summer day in Atlanta, Georgia, hot and humid! I had arrived at the IBM Tower early to service some 50+ vending machines, both soda and snack. I had machines on 23 different floors so I had to load my lay-down dolly with a lot of product to save time from back and forth trips to the truck. There was only 1 service elevator.
When I got to Alston & Bird, a Law Firm on the 40th Floor, I had already collected a good bit of money, and a fairly heavy bag of change( I estimate between 40-50 lbs). Within a few minutes an alarm began to sound. It was a Fire Drill! Mandatory evacuation of the building was ordered by the Fire Marshall.
Guess what DOESN'T work when there is a fire/fire drill? That's right, elevators! Did I mention that I was on the 40th floor? A 40 floor exit down the hot stairway is bad enough, but I also had a crate of money, COMPANY money, and it wouldn't fit under/in the machine!
I couldn't risk that someone hid out and didn't evacuate the building. I carried the crate which held the money bags down all those flights of stairs, simply because it was the right thing to do!
Do you know what SFI says about responsibility? "Both Sponsors and Co-Sponsors have a responsibility to support their affiliates. If you are willing to earn income on the actions of your affiliates, you must of course be willing to also help them with questions they might have, share tips, etc. This is an integral part of our type of business. It's all about working together for mutual gain." Source
Where some people get confused, in my opinion, is that "responsibility" is not issuing orders! You MUST do this, or you MUST do that! Responsibility is a willingness to do just what SFI says, help with questions, share tips. In other words, CARRY THE CRATE!
What happens to those that carry the crate? Responsibility generates trust. trust generates even more responsibility, that is accompanied by greater reward.
Don't CREATE fire drills! Just do the right thing when they happen!

Hi to every Great men/women in the SFI business, Permit me to share with you all my little knowledge about the recently changed of the badges quest.
Badges quest is simply a contest of collecting as much badges as you can both SFI and TC badges to earn Rewardicals when you advance from one level to another, and this Rewardicals can been redeemed at rewardicals.com with any items of your choice, eg, PSA, CSA, GC, Bitcoin, VP TCredit...etc
There are five level of badges quest and this level ranging from Rising Star, Pro, Master, Grand Master and Grand Master Elite and each of this level requires a particular amount of badges earn in order to earn Rewardicals attached with that level.
Recently, Badges quest (both SFI and TC badges) are now separated into different badges quest, We now have SFI badge quest and TC badges quest and this two badges quest have an equal opportunity of earning rewardicals when you advance your level in any of the badges quest and you also have an equal opportunity to share 100,000 rewardicals of the bounty pot.

Here's how it will work: For every 10 VersaPoints you earn during the month, you'll have 1 point added to your Badge Quest point’s total. So...be sure to maximize your VersaPoints every month.
How To get some badges both SFI and TC badges
1 Play all the EZ games, some of the EZ games have a lots of badges like Grandmaster Poker, Zackjack, Hidden have 16 badges each Brain Sprint have11 badges and so on...
2 Spent at one 1 TCredit in either Pricebenders or Astro auctions and you have the opportunity to win a lots of Constellation Prizes
3 Earn at least 20 or 30 VP per day so that you can add 2 or 3 points to your SFI Badge Quest point’s total
4 Participating always in the forum discussion. You might likely to earn Forum Guru, like and Support Star badges
5 Become among the top 10 enrollers of PSAs and PRMs during any time in the last 30 days to earn Top Enrollers badges.

It really is a wonderful opportunity, but sometimes there are some bugs in the system and the badges disappear from our page, that's what happened to me recently, I'm extremely surprised by all this.
Remember, MANY badges are not permanent. You have to keep earning them/qualifying for them. If you don't, they of course go away. Remember, it's a competition (contest).

1. I'm not sure who you're referring to. Forum members? There will always be an ebb and flow on the forum on what's being discussed, but I can assure you that team building is the #2 priority in SFI (only behind the #1 priority which is SALES, which greatly overlap of course). And it's the #1 priority which is why Astro Auctions are a hot discussion right now.
Why are Astro Auctions important? Because they give us a space online where we can not only compete, but make big, big waves. We've concluded that competing with online giants in straight-up e-commerce isn't realistic when you have to pay out very large amounts of commissions to referring affiliates as we do. But we CAN compete in the online auction space and online games space (which is why Eager Zebra is also a big focus of ours).
2. Don't get hung up on the compression aspect (that's a no-brainer benefit that just extends how deeply in your group you can earn). You earn on your team via overrides, same as always. To clarify, we used to pay overrides via matches on the Executive Pool VersaPoints, but the Executive Pool had become ineffective and a poor way to reward our biggest producers, so a change was made. Now, with our 48% Team Overrides system, you have the ability to earn much, much more than before and have much greater control over what you earn as well.
3. Well, that's up to you. If you only have a group that goes six generations deep, it is enough for your overrides income. But by staying at BTL, you're giving up other perks you could claim (e.g. additional shares of the Second Home CSAs) and you're not setting a very good example for your group. That is, you want everyone in your group aspiring for Diamond Team Leader, not "settling" for just bronze.
4. Team building is THE best way to earn a big income in SFI because team building brings you the huge benefits of Leveraged Income. So if by collaborating you mean to work with your WHOLE team, definitely you should be collaborating!
5. It's pretty easy to calculate Team Overrides. Just take the total CV for the generations that you qualify for (six generations for a BTL, for example) and multiply the CV by 4%. We even provide all of the CV data on your Genealogy (in top left corner) so you can do this easily.
6. Are you referring to persons that are less than 12 generations from the company? If so, yes, they can potentially earn somewhat more on Team Overrides, but I consider this a benefit they've earned, by sticking with SFI all these years (a loyalty bonus, if you will). You have the same opportunity potentially if you stick with it, too. And it's really the only fair way to distribute the overrides in their group. Meanwhile, I urge you not to look down on a $100,000 annual income just because a few that have put in many, many years of effort might be able to earn $105,000.
7. See, I don't understand that. SFI is an incredible opportunity as our nearly 20 year track record demonstrates. Show me any other company offering the benefits we do to our affiliates. It doesn't exist. But many cannot see the big picture sadly and will spend their prime years searching in vain for what they already have with SFI!. All Team Leaders who aspire to become Diamonds in SFI must learn how to see that big picture so they can communicate it to their up and coming leaders.

1. I'm not sure who you're referring to. Forum members? There will always be an ebb and flow on the forum on what's being discussed, but I can assure you that team building is the #2 priority in SFI (only behind the #1 priority which is SALES, which greatly overlap of course). And it's the #1 priority which is why Astro Auctions are a hot discussion right now.
Why are Astro Auctions important? Because they give us a space online where we can not only compete, but make big, big waves. We've concluded that competing with online giants in straight-up e-commerce isn't realistic when you have to pay out very large amounts of commissions to referring affiliates as we do. But we CAN compete in the online auction space and online games space (which is why Eager Zebra is also a big focus of ours).
2. Don't get hung up on the compression aspect (that's a no-brainer benefit that just extends how deeply in your group you can earn). You earn on your team via overrides, same as always. To clarify, we used to pay overrides via matches on the Executive Pool VersaPoints, but the Executive Pool had become ineffective and a poor way to reward our biggest producers, so a change was made. Now, with our 48% Team Overrides system, you have the ability to earn much, much more than before and have much greater control over what you earn as well.
3. Well, that's up to you. If you only have a group that goes six generations deep, it is enough for your overrides income. But by staying at BTL, you're giving up other perks you could claim (e.g. additional shares of the Second Home CSAs) and you're not setting a very good example for your group. That is, you want everyone in your group aspiring for Diamond Team Leader, not "settling" for just bronze.
4. Team building is THE best way to earn a big income in SFI because team building brings you the huge benefits of Leveraged Income. So if by collaborating you mean to work with your WHOLE team, definitely you should be collaborating!
5. It's pretty easy to calculate Team Overrides. Just take the total CV for the generations that you qualify for (six generations for a BTL, for example) and multiply the CV by 4%. We even provide all of the CV data on your Genealogy (in top left corner) so you can do this easily.
6. Are you referring to persons that are less than 12 generations from the company? If so, yes, they can potentially earn somewhat more on Team Overrides, but I consider this a benefit they've earned, by sticking with SFI all these years (a loyalty bonus, if you will). You have the same opportunity potentially if you stick with it, too. And it's really the only fair way to distribute the overrides in their group. Meanwhile, I urge you not to look down on a $100,000 annual income just because a few that have put in many, many years of effort might be able to earn $105,000.
7. See, I don't understand that. SFI is an incredible opportunity as our nearly 20 year track record demonstrates. Show me any other company offering the benefits we do to our affiliates. It doesn't exist. But many cannot see the big picture sadly and will spend their prime years searching in vain for what they already have with SFI!. All Team Leaders who aspire to become Diamonds in SFI must learn how to see that big picture so they can communicate it to their up and coming leaders.

Thank you, Gery, for the excellent reference links. They are valuable to every affiliate who intends to market the ECA program to potential ECAs.
I realize now that my choice of words - "nothing in the SFI marketing info..." - were a bit nebulous.
The challenge I am still facing, however, is how to interest a local retailer in signing up for the ECA program if that retailer's primary focus is local in-store sales, and if they are not truly interested in generating sales of items that would have to be shipped (in other words, 'local pick-up only').
The information provided at the SFI links, above, is great for potential ECAs who are either currently selling online already, or who are looking to create or expand their online presence. But I am just trying to find that certain selling point that will appeal to local retailers not interested in reaching the global market, and who may be operating on a strictly defined profit margin (in other words, they can't charge more at TripleClicks than what they are charging in-store).
Again, I do admit that maybe targeting these kinds of retailers is not a great way to go. That's my purpose for this topic thread - to get feedback from other affiliates to figure that out.

Something we hope to roll out soon...a way to present to local retailers the number of TC members and SFI affiliates in their area...i.e. prospective customers (especially affiliates who covet VP and MRP). In many areas, it's a pretty big and impressive number. Included would be us doing a big (and cost-free to the merchant) mailing to all of those folks to get them to come check out the merchant's offerings. The merchant could spice it up further with a coupon or special limited-time discount if they wanted to with a promo code.
Main hold-up: We want to completely overhaul everything an ECA sees and uses at the site. We can't afford to make bad impressions with our sales partners. Our current tools are sub-par and need redesign and upgrades.
This is now reaching the top of our priority list, so these new pieces will start to appear this Fall...and then we GO! Indeed, we've got thousands of top prospective ECAs lined up for special promotions beginning soon. We're going to get real serious, real soon about boosting our ECA program with better and more products, better prices, better shipping, and more.
