contains great tip
Hello Evette and All,
You make a legitimate observation. However let me explain and also expand our mindset regarding products.
First of all--SFI will not ever REQUIRE us to purchase products. This is a legal issue regarding anti-pyramiding laws in the U.S.
BUT---- Are our products immediately useful? Yes.
In fact there are many products essential (as well as useful) toward promoting our business. T-Credits can be used to provide incentive/rewards to our team members for specific actions or goal achievements. A worthwhile purchase--and when used for this purpose it becomes an investment that also carries SVP. ECommergy is another example of a worthwhile purchase that becomes an investment that also carries SVP. Tools for marketing ECommergy subscriptions come with the advanced subscriptions. Builder Bundle and Go EA Pack are other examples of worthwhile purchases that function as an investment in our business that also carry SVP.
Yet these aren't the only products that are useful toward having an immediate benefit in promoting our business and products to potential PRMs AND to members on our teams. SFI related T-Shirts--become a walking bill-board! I bought an ECommergy t-shirt for that reason. I won't wear LEVI t-shirts (or any other product banner t-shirt), because they don't pay me for successfully promoting their product---SFI does! ;) In fact there are many SFI related products we could buy and they become a way for generating conversation that leads to an invitation to the opportunity or product we have! There are many--I've found them on the TripleClicks tab almost everyday.
Are our products practical? Yes!
Why not be your own best customer. EXAMPLE: I need some motion detector lights for my yard. I am buying them from TripleClicks--not Menards or Lowes (U.S. regional/national building supply mega-chains). The price looks competitive. Is it the cheapest? I don't know. It looks comparable. But my point is--I earn SVP on it. I get paid on any VP (including SVP) that I generate through the Executive Pool Payout in my commissions. The product is practical AND I support TripleClicks and SFI through this purchase. Is it an investment? NO. It is a purchase: I spend money, I get a product I will use for my own use. But--it does SUPPORT the business I am working. This is a necessary mindset for any network marketing business including SFI!
There are hundreds (thousands) of products we can all use. And by the way, WHENEVER we buy our own products, we always have first hand experience in regularly using the products which is a vital dynamic for becoming successful in Sales Marketing![/u By the way, I just promoted products I am using to everyone who reads my post....
Successful Sales Marketing Starts With First Hand Knowledge of the Product or Service We are Marketing!
This statement is a conclusion I emphasized in the previous paragraph. But it is so VITAL to each of our success in generating sales it needs its own paragraph! The most effective sales people are those who use regularly use the products they seek to market. Personal experience becomes a natural priceless resource for communicating any and all of the reasons WHY a person would want to buy the product we are promoting. Period. I've written about this multiple times in the forum here.
Would ANYONE want to join a business opportunity where most of the people seek to avoid buying the products offered? [u]No. Not likely at all. And if they did, eventually they'll drop out of an opportunity where the idea of NOT buying the products we offer is constantly entertained, or promoted.
In any network marketing opportunity, the back bone of the financial success of that opportunity (including the company AND the network marketing team of affiliates) comes through the sales that are generated within its distributor or affiliate organizations. Is this something to be ashamed of??? Absolutely No!!! So why apologize? Why skirt this extremely VITAL dynamic? Sales to outside members (PRMs in our case) become the byproduct (or, cause and effect) of effective outside sales. The end result is that the opportunity becomes "fat" with commission potential instead of a steady stream of "skinny" earnings!!!! People won't stick around if the income potential is perceived as being "skinny."
Finally, if people understood HOW commissions and income are generated, they would STOP quibbling about SVP requirements. Why join and work an opportunity that has no foundation to generating income? Yes, SFI doesn't require purchases ever---BUT!!!! Your and my success DOES! So, the flyer provides a great opportunity to teach someone why SFI doesn't require this (it's a legitimate/legal/ethical business) while also teaching them why generating sales through buying AND marketing is essential to their success with such an opportunity. If they have a dream--if they're HUNGRY (as Les Brown says) for more in life--they'll get on board. But let's teach people how to this business through BEST ACTION practices: Log in Daily, Be Your Own Best Customer, Market the Products, Sponsor others and teach them to do these same 4 practices.
Go Diamond!
